Yokohama Tire Model: AVS Sport
(pictured below)
Yokohama
has once again raised the bar in the world of ultra-high
performance summer tires. Designed with the extreme
performance insistent driver in mind, the Sport's
distinctive Y-shaped tread makes it dramatically different
from any other previous design. The unique tread
configuration simultaneously accomplishes two seemingly
contradictory goals: the water evacuation characteristics of
the tire have been improved for wet handling while the
overall void area has been reduced for additional control in
dry conditions.
Derived from their legendary AVS Wet Racing Tire, this new
street tire gives you the performance you need on both wet
and dry road conditions while maintaining the perfect
balance of control and wear resistance. Yokohama's advanced
construction contributes to high-speed stability, low
rolling resistance, excellent handling and riding comfort
all in one tire, appropriately named "Sport".
