The tire rankings are based on overall rating score for 14 different performance factors.

Ratings provided by Tire Rack

Note:
The overall ranking of a tire may not be the best judge of it's performance capabilities for you.

Look at how each tire performed in the individual performance factors and decide which is the most important for your driving style and needs.
Example:
The number one ranked tire may rate low for tread wear which is your most important consideration when choosing a new tire. But...the number 3 ranked tire may have a better customer rating for tread wear which might make this your better choice.

The Number 1 Rated Tire

Belonging to BFGoodrich's Traction T/A family, the T-speed rated Traction T/A radials are Standard Touring All-Season tires designed to be sporty, long lasting and attractively priced.

The T-speed rated Traction T/A radials were developed to provide four-season traction along with five-star performance for sporty coupes and sedans by blending long treadwear, predictable handling and dependable traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

On the outside, T-speed rated Traction T/A radials feature a directional tread design that uses independent tread blocks to help pump water through the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance and wet traction.

Lateral grooves and multiple sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to enhance wet road and light snow traction.

On the inside, the Traction T/A T-speed rated tires feature twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced by BFGoodrich's Equal Tension Containment (ETEC) system that uses spirally wrapped nylon to provide high speed durability with even ride quality.

The tires also feature g-Wedge sidewall stabilizers to enhance steering response and cornering stability.

The T-speed rated BFGoodrich Traction T/A radials' sidewall styling features black letters on a smooth sidewall. They are available in selected 65-, 60- and 55-series, T-speed rated sizes in 15" through 17" rim diameters.
